Making a Difference: Our 2024 Community Involvement
Posted onAt Carrington, giving back to the community is part of who we are. This year, we proudly focused our efforts on supporting YOUCAN Youth Services, an Edmonton-based organization helping youth overcome challenges, achieve independence, and unlock their potential. Thanks to the collective efforts of our staff and volunteers, we raised over $7,500 for this incredible cause.
Here’s a look at the highlights from our 2024 fundraising events:
Snap for a Cause
In the spring, we organized a professional photo shoot offering staff the chance to get headshots or team photos for a small donation. The turnout was fantastic, raising $740 for YOUCAN.
Tug-of-Hope
Summer fun took center stage with our Tug-of-Hope event. Six teams battled it out in a classic tug-of-war, enjoyed a BBQ lunch, and tried their hand at carnival games, with prizes. This lively event raised an impressive $3,025.
Chili Cook-Off
In the fall, things heated up with our annual Chili Cook-Off. Seven teams competed for the title of Chili Champs, with new champs claiming victory. Staff contributions during this spirited competition brought in $470.
Holiday Craft Night
The festive season wrapped up our fundraising with a Holiday Craft Night hosted by a dedicated staff member. Staff got creative while supporting a great cause, raising $311.15.
Our Total Impact
In total, staff contributions amounted to $4,546.15, and with a generous company top-up of $2,986.80, we proudly donated $7,532.95 to YOUCAN Youth Services.
This success wouldn’t have been possible without the enthusiasm and support of our amazing team. Thank you for making 2024 a year of meaningful impact. We look forward to continuing our community involvement in 2025!
