2) Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator, Carrington Communities, Full time, Edmonton

Carrington Construction is seeking an Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator for multi-family residential construction.

Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator Qualifications/Experience:

– Completion of an Architectural Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
– 3+ years’ design and construction related experience.
– Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
– Knowledge and experience of the Alberta Building Code.
– Familiar with understanding and applying the requirements of Zoning Bylaws.
– In depth knowledge preparing and coordinating contract documents and contract administration.
– Solid working knowledge of building assemblies, design and construction detailing.
– Proven ability to work collaboratively with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.

Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator Responsibilities:
– Develop new and innovative floor plans for a wide range of multi-family construction projects.
– Coordinate the project design, contract documentation, permitting and contract administration from schematic design development to completion.
– Manage external consultants in regards to contract documentation preparation and contract administration.
– Participate in the resolution of technical and design related issues as they arise.
– Create and maintain all specifications for projects.

3) Corporate Sales Manager, Bedrock Homes, Full time, Edmonton

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong ability for sales strategy, leadership, creative direction, and building positive relationships. The Sales Manager will be responsible for division sales staffing, sales training, administration, implements sales procedures and helps establish guidelines for sales staff.

Corporate Sales Manager Responsibilities:
– Helps to implement sales goals and sales training programs as needed to meet Division goals.
– Responsible for controlling incentive costs to preserve margins.
– Assists and guides sales team with sales techniques to achieve maximum sales and satisfied homeowners.
– Responsible to ensure that all sales staff coordinates regularly with other field and office associates to ensure timely closings and satisfied homeowners.

– Assists in hiring and administers an adequate sales force to meet Division goals.
– Supervise and monitor all sales staff job performance.
– Lead and/or participate in all sales meetings.
– Assists in preparation of show home budgets and coordinates timely opening of show homes.
– Assists in the evolution of home plans for new product development.
– Assists in the development of standard features and amenities of new product development.

Corporate Sales Manager Qualifications:
– 5+ years in a Sales Management/Leadership Role.
– Residential sales experience, sales management and/or real estate or management related industries.
– Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
– Must be able to deal effectively with confrontational situations and maintain objectivity in associate, public relations, and homeowners. Possess and exercise mature judgment.
– Strong work ethic; loyal; trustworthy; and being a Team Player is a must.
– Advanced computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office.
– Requires resourcefulness, patience and clarity.
– Strong Management and motivational skills.
– Diplomacy and good public presence.

Carrington Construction is seeking an experienced General Construction Labourers for multi-family residential construction.

General Construction Labourers Qualifications/Experience/Responsibilities:
– Experience working on multi-family residential construction projects is an asset.
– Physically demanding work environment, outdoor work.
– Comfortable with use of Hand Tools and Power Tools.
– Reliable and punctual.
– Can effectively communicate with Superintendent and can follow directions.

5) Controller, Bedrock Homes, Full Time, Edmonton

Reporting to the CFO and the VP of Bedrock Homes, the Controller provides leadership and coordination of company financial reporting, budgeting and planning; ensuring that company procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. The Controller also streamlines processes to create reliable and timely delivery of accounting information and will play an active role in the strategic planning for the business.

Controller Qualifications/Experience:
– This position requires 3-5 years of professional accounting experience (post CPA designation).
– University degree in Business/Accounting from an accredited training institution.
– Chartered Professional Accountant designation required. Preferred CA or CMA legacy designation.
– Experience as a Controller for a single family residential home builder is an asset.
– Proficient in Excel, Word, and CaseWare.
– Knowledge of Sage Timberline Accounting System is an asset.

Controller Responsibilities:
– Provide supervision and leadership to a team.
– Prepare monthly financial reporting for all companies, including bank and other balance sheet account reconciliations.
– Maintain insurance policies over company assets.
– Lot Inventory Management including liaising between Legal Department and Solicitor’s office.
– Payroll Approval.
– Preparation of Overhead budgets and participate in Sales and Production forecasting.
– Maintain and reconcile WIP reporting and margin analysis.

Bedrock Homes has an upcoming opportunity for a highly customer focused Host/Hostess.
This opportunity requires a customer focused, self-starter, high energy, professional individual, who thrives on accepting new challenges.

Reporting to the Area Manager, our Host/Hostess will be a part of a team that is responsible for the day to day operations of the show home sales centre. The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting customers and assisting the sales team.

Host/Hostess Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
