1) Legal Assistant – Carrington Group, Edmonton – Full Time

We are recruiting for a highly professional intermediate Legal Assistant. The Legal Assistant will report to the Manager, Legal/Conveyancing.

Legal Assistant Qualifications/Experience:
– Minimum two (2) years in residential real estate conveyancing.
– Expert knowledge with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
– Able to maintain filing systems and databases.
– Ability to multi task and thrive in a fast paced environment.
– Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
– Meticulous records maintenance skills, with a strong attention to detail.
– Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills.
– Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.

Legal Assistant Responsibilities:
– Preparation of closing documents for new home sales.
– Processing new home sale files.
– Scheduling possessions of new homes.

2) Director of Construction – Carrington Construction, Edmonton – Full Time

Reporting to the VP of Carrington Construction, the Director of Construction is responsible for monitoring and improving the strategic goals of the construction team. The Director will oversee estimating, purchasing and all aspects of the construction department in a collaborative environment. The Director will provide leadership, mentorship and experienced direction to a diverse team. The Director will manage a dynamic workflow while being focused on exceeding corporate initiatives, goals and targets. The Director will be exceedingly focused on developing and fostering a highly successful construction team.

Director of Construction Qualifications/Experience:
– Minimum of ten (10) years of leadership and management experience. Demonstrated coach and mentor to previous teams.
– Minimum of five (5) years practical experience in multi and/or single family wood frame construction, or multi-story CIP concrete construction.
– Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, business, marketing, economics, or a related field.
– Proficient and highly experienced in forecasting and budgeting.
– Extensive experience with project estimating and scheduling.
– Competent and experienced in detailed review analysis, take-offs, review and assessment of blueprints, and technical data.
– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and Excel.
– Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with and leading diverse groups and personalities.
– Proficient in problem solving and conflict resolution.
– Proven planning, communication, organizing, leadership, decision making and negotiating skills.
– A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.

Director of Construction Responsibilities:
– Oversee construction projects including project planning, quality, safety, budgeting and identification of resources needed.
– Provide leadership and mentorship to the construction department including; Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, Estimators, and Purchasers. Develop personal growth goals and strategies for the construction team.
– Ensure construction activities progress according to schedule, budget and quality.
– Maintain awareness of current marketplace and trends to gain and maintain our competitive advantage and develop effective strategies.
– Drive and manage the construction progress and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
– Maintain regular communications with the leadership team.

3) Drafting Administrator – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

Bedrock Homes is currently seeking an experienced Drafting Administrator to join our dynamic team of professionals.

Drafting Administrator Responsibilities:
– Apply for plot plan, engineered details, roof and floor layouts, warranty, and window schedules.
– Apply for architectural approval from developer’s architectural agent.
– Generate permit application packages specific to building type and construction.
– Apply for development permit and building permit from several municipalities.
– Maintain and update all master and job file documentation within the department folders and library network.
– Work directly with Architectural Technologists to process job files quickly with complete accuracy.
– Check and verify drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
– Monitors permit approvals and delays.
– Print permit packages and documentation requests from the site team.
– Maintain all Drafting Department tracking systems.
– Process permit and inspection fee payments.
– Provide administrative support to all department members.

Drafting Administrator Skills:
– Extremely organized.

– Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management.

Drafting Administrator Qualifications/Experience:
– Two (2) year diploma as an architectural technologist or equivalent is preferred.
– Technical certificates in architectural drafting related courses will be considered.
– One (1) year experience using computer-assisted design software.
– Strong skills with Microsoft Office is mandatory – must be fluent in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Must be able to read and understand residential wood frame blueprints.
– Knowledge of wood frame construction is mandatory.
– Experience in an administrative role is an asset.
– Knowledge of permitting processes is an asset.
– Must have interest in developing technical skills and advancement through internal training.
