1) Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator, Carrington Construction, Edmonton – Full Time

Carrington Construction is seeking an Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator for multi-family residential construction.

Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator Qualifications/Experience:
– Completion of an Architectural Technology diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
– 3+ years’ design and construction related experience.
– Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
– Knowledge and experience of the Alberta Building Code.
– Familiar with understanding and applying the requirements of Zoning Bylaws.
– In depth knowledge preparing and coordinating contract documents and contract administration.
– Solid working knowledge of building assemblies, design and construction detailing.
– Proven ability to work collaboratively with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.

Architectural Technologist/Design Coordinator Responsibilities:
– Develop new and innovative floor plans for a wide range of multi-family construction projects.
– Coordinate the project design, contract documentation, permitting and contract administration from schematic design development to completion.
– Manage external consultants in regards to contract documentation preparation and contract administration.
– Participate in the resolution of technical and design related issues as they arise.
– Create and maintain all specifications for projects.
– Create and maintain interior finishing schedules.
– Build and maintain relations with the City of Edmonton and compile all documentation required for Development and Building permit applications.

2) Assistant Site Superintendent – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

Bedrock Homes is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent for single family residential construction.

Assistant Site Superintendent Qualifications/Experience:
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in single family residential construction.
– General knowledge of the Alberta Building Code.
– Thorough understanding of construction terms, scheduling and planning concepts.
– Expert ability in accurately interpreting project specifications and plans.
– Proven adaptability to manage priorities and sequencing in a changing work environment impacted by external business conditions.
– Carpentry experience and the use of general power tools is essential
– Meticulous attention to detail.
– Self-starter with ability to set and direct goals and tasks.

3) Marketing Assistant – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time (12 Months)

Bedrock Homes is looking for a Marketing Assistant for a full time, 12 month term.
Marketing Assistant Qualifications/Experience:
– Marketing experience specific to the construction industry, a plus
– Familiarity with construction terminology, industry practices, materials, means, methods and techniques, a plus
– A diploma in Marketing, or Office Administration, or two years of work experience supporting similar key responsibilities or equivalent work experience
– Strong communication skills and team support
– Strong organizational skills
– The ability to multitask in an environment with quickly changing priorities
– Advanced PC skills, including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
– Working knowledge with InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator
– Strong and diligent work ethic
– General math skills
– Data entry skills
– Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Marketing Assistant Responsibilities:
– Help to develop, execute, and monitor lead generating campaigns

– Proofread all marketing materials to ensure correct information and brand consistency
– Maintain ongoing reporting for marketing activities

– Participate in the planning and execution of show home openings and closings
– Planning and management of show home cleanings and seasonal site maintenance

4) Residential Construction Junior Estimator – Bedrock Homes, Edmonton – Full Time

Bedrock Homes is seeking a qualified Residential Construction Junior Estimator to join our team.
Residential Construction Junior Estimator Qualifications/Experience:
– Minimum (1) one year estimating experience for single-family residential construction in Alberta, ideally in a fast paced production builder environment.
– Completion of a construction, civil or structural engineering diploma or degree is considered an asset; or equivalent practical experience. (Candidates with practical work experience will be given priority)
– Ability to read and interpret building specifications, and blueprints.
– Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with a diverse group and personalities.
– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, working knowledge of Homefront and Timberline is considered an asset.
– Proven planning, communication, organizing, and analytical decision making skills.
– A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.

Residential Construction Junior Estimator Responsibilities:
– Producing, generating and forwarding purchase orders as requested.
– Review and process change orders and purchase orders for both complete or homes under construction.
– Updating internal schedules to coordinate interior finishing purchase order release.
– Review all final change orders and interior selection packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, to prepare and issue interior finishing purchase orders on single and multi-family developments.
– Data entry (vendor pricing, Homefront items, budget comparisons, lumber material pricing).
– Scanning and photocopying as needed.
– Filing of vendor pricing in pricing binders.
– Create and adjust model assemblies in estimating software as required for new projects.
– General office duties as required.
– Manage daily workload based on predetermined deadlines and known daily tasks.
– Self-starter who shows initiative and is a reliable team player.
– Strong adaptability to ever changing workload demands.

5) Sales Assistants – Carrington Communities, Edmonton – Full Time

Carrington Communities, a leader in the new condo construction industry, is looking for Sales Assistants to work full-time in sales centres throughout Edmonton. Sales Assistant’s primary responsibility is to provide support to the Project Sales Manager for their area via greeting customers, engaging in presentations, stocking sales centres with marketing materials and giving suite tours to potential buyers.

Previous sales experience related to the housing industry is preferred, but not required.

Hours are from 3:00-8:00pm Monday to Thursday and 12:00-5:00pm Saturday, Sunday and holidays. You must be available to work the hours stated.

– The ideal candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, who enjoys working with people
